Hey Ghoul Friend! It's me Ayden. I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, on the Texas-Mexico border. I grew up hearing cautionary tales and connecting with people through ghost stories. This sparked an interest in all things otherworldly at an early age. Because of this interest, I started Susto in 2019. Since then I've been the lone soul behind Susto. From research to hosting to editing and audio design, Susto is a one ghoul production.
Susto was recognized in the 2022 inaugural class of the Gotham Film & Media Institute’s the Gotham/Variety Audio Honors, presented by Wondery. Susto was also nominated for the 2023 Austin Chronicle's Best of Austin in the Podcast category. I'm currently Austin based and enjoy participating in events to spread the word of Susto by way of live shows, lectures, and tabling at relevant events.
